Every Queer Thing

In 2018, Sophie Roberge joined the CDMLA as Archivist. courtesy of the BC Arts Council Early Career Development Program. In 2019, she returned for a one year period of research and creation of Every Queer Thing. This searchable online database will direct you to 954 publications/articles, 236 videos and 5 Special Collections at the Crista Dahl Media Library and Archive providing insight into the history of queer art and activism.

Sophie Roberge

Sophie graduated with a BA in History from Concordia University (2014) and an MLIS/MAS from the School of Library, Archival and Information Studies at UBC (2017). She is currently a Records Manager at the BC Government & Service Employees Union. She is interested in queer community archives, audiovisual archives, and the affective impact of archives. Sophie is deeply committed to using her training in libraries and archives towards supporting social justice and community initiatives.
