Connie White
Corinne “Connie” White (1925-) was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her family moved to Vancouver when she was eleven. She worked as a housemaid at fourteen-years-old and worked a short time in a shoe factory before joining Boeing. She worked as a riveter there until her marriage in 1947. She returned to work in 1955, as a garment worker at Western Cap & Garment. She became an organizer for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, a position she still held at the time of this interview.
